we have decided to pack up our booth and take a break this summer.

we want to focus on being better moms,

and being a better wife. and just enjoy all that summer brings.

you still have a few weekends to shop our booth.

we're keeping it stocked with all kinds of fun finds.

it is so fun every month to go in and redo our booth at vintage market south.
this past weekend we worked really hard and must say ourselves that our booth looks fabulous!

our booth is packed this month. cool finds, things to help you get organized,

items for your next game night, and plenty of spots to dig around in.

we even have a small section, if you're in need for something, for valentines day.

so ask for some much needed "ME" time and head over to the Burlap JunKtion booth and be inspired!

i can't show you everything here....come in and see for yourself. there is some really fun stuff in our booth this month.

my apologies for being so horrible at keeping this blog updated.

Burlap JunKtion is still selling out of our little booth at Vintage Market South.

this photo is from our booth in december. we're shopping, painting and fixing things up to have some wonderful finds for the january showcase. (last thurs. fri. sat and sunday of january).

we're still open the last weekends of each month with new additional hours coming in the spring!

harvest moon : september sale at vintage market

our booth is all set up and ready for the Harvest Moon Sale at Vintage Market South!

we have recently painted two of our walls a super dark {almost black} gray. it looks amazing!! think i am going to have to find a wall in my house and paint it the same...i love it. {sealskin by sherwin williams} is the exact color for those that visit our booth and love it too.

just a few photos of our booth...again, the entire store looks great. pardon the blurry shots, i really need to find a new camera. {getting the camera isn't the problem...finding the time to figure out how to use it and download the photos to my blogs is the real problem..ahem...yep, i am technically challenged most times}.

wow! the Burlap JunKtion booth at Vintage Market sold lots of great pieces this month.

just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to those of you that come and support us!!

hope to see you again next month at our freshly painted booth! can't wait to get started on it and for you all to see it. there will also be a harvest moon theme to the market next month...can't wait!

41st Symphony Designer's Showhouse

we are so excited to be part of the 41st symphony designer's showhouse! burlap junktion has a great booth set up in the boutique, please be sure to check it out.

this beautiful home is located at 5833 ward parkway. tickets are $15 at the door or buy in advance for $13 at hen house and hy-vee stores. please check the symphony website for hours and more information.

the boutique is located in the basement and you do not need to purchase a ticket to shop.

the burlap junktion booth is packed with so many treasures. perfect for yourself, gift for a friend or a wonderful hostess gift.

in the burlap junktion booth you'll also find a beautiful selection of trays from tray bella, and beaded serving pieces from turtle soup.

grab a friend and go check it out . . . hurry! you only have until may 16th!

symphony designer show house: part 1

we set up a small booth on friday at the symphony designer show house. the house, at 59th and ward parkway, is in the 'before stage'. simply pay $5 at the door and you can tour it.

once in, you can also shop! this is just a small sampling of what there will be in april/may when the show house is open for the 'after' viewing.

you can see out the window the snow we also ordered for the backdrop of our display. these

photos do not do it justice, but the large windows and snow sure made for a pretty backdrop.

the show house is open sunday until 5pm. i hope you have some time to check it out.

we will post here all the happenings of the set up and more information about the show in april.

Window Display: Ranchmart Wine & Spirits

We had the privilege today to do a window display at the Ranchmart Wine & Spirits. It is located at 95th and Mission Road in the Ranchmart North shopping center.

We brought in a few of our own props (table, chair, tree branch) but then used what they had available. They have a wine tasting room (available for your next get together!) filled with lots of fun and unique gifts. Cigars, stemware, dip mixes, cocktail napkins, wine chocolates, burlap wine bags (we gushed over these!) and so much more.

Our window display focuses on the extras they have for sale as well as some great wines, chosen because we liked the labels and that pop of Christmas red!

At the Gift Gallery we had a drawing for one lucky winner! Two hours of staging to refresh a room in your home. We had tons enter and the lucky winner was ... Amy O. of Overland Park, KS. We've contacted Amy and will stage her family room in January. We are so excited to do this and can't wait to meet her and see her space. You'll be able to see before and after photos here on the blog. Stay tuned!

We participated in the Cure of Ars Gift Gallery, a yearly fabulous sale. Our booth was full of fun finds for your home. Things were selling fast so we were always rearranging. It was a day full of fun, friends and hard work.

About our name...

The dictionary definition of junction is the act of joining; combining.... Which is exactly what my good friend Joan and I have done....joined our two small business' together. I will still continue designing and making trays for Tray Bella and she will carry on with her beautiful Turtle Soup serving pieces.

We also will join our love of junking into our new business, which is where the spelling of JunKtion comes into play. The capital J is for Joan and the capital K is for Kathi and the JunK...well that's a given. We both love to decorate our homes with hunted treasures, thrifted finds, stuff on the curb....what ever you want to call it, we call it junking.

Burlap? Well, we just love the rugged look, and the texture of burlap.

So, that's the story to our name.
